I do jiujitsu and I’m not great, so I get smashed a lot because a lot of guys at our gym compete and I do not. I was rolling with a guy who absolutely rips me apart most nights (not mean, he’s just good and I’m not at his level). My wife brought the kids by to watch class for a bit while we were mid roll. My 3 year old daughter said “DADDYYYYY!” In that excited-to-see-you way kids do. We paused long enough for me to look and say hi to her and my son, and went back to rolling. About 3 seconds later, I pull off a sweep and get in a dominant position where I worked for the rest of the match. I don’t know if he “let” me get that, or if I just happened to pull it off, but I’m fairly certain he knew my kids were watching and wanted me to be able to look like a hero to my kids. He’s a good dude!
