@prophetschooltv: Light of The World Jordan Maxwell was known for his exploration of astrotheology, ancient symbolism, comparative religion, and the hidden meanings he believed existed within religious traditions. One of the central ideas in his work was that the biblical language surrounding the “Light of the World” could be understood as a symbolic reference to the Sun. Maxwell argued that ancient humanity lived in a world where the Sun was not simply an object in the sky—it was the source of light, warmth, food, seasons, and ultimately life itself. When darkness descended, ancient people faced cold, uncertainty, and danger. But every morning, the Sun returned, bringing light and warmth with it. Maxwell believed this recurring experience became one of humanity’s most powerful religious symbols. From this perspective, Maxwell connected the phrase “Light of the World” with the physical Sun. His argument was essentially symbolic: the Sun literally illuminates the world, while religious stories transform that natural phenomenon into a metaphor for divine illumination, salvation, knowledge, and the triumph of light over darkness. In his lectures, Maxwell frequently described Jesus as a symbolic representation of the Sun—or, in his wordplay, “God’s Son” and “God’s Sun.” This interpretation also formed part of Maxwell’s larger concept of light versus darkness. He associated light with knowledge, truth, understanding, and intellectual awakening, while darkness represented ignorance and the unknown. Thus, the rising Sun became more than a physical event: it could symbolize the awakening of consciousness itself. Maxwell described the “Light of the World” as representing spiritual and intellectual enlightenment—the ability of human beings to seek knowledge and educate themselves. #bible #sun #wisdom #jesus #light
