I have schizoaffective disorder, and I was abused until I was 19 by family and an ex. Yet I will never let that excuse behaviour, including my own. It took me a while to get here, but I didn’t want to repeat a cycle that cause me so much pain onto others.

I can understand if the person has been bad to you that you treat them bad. But I do genuinely try to get along with people, I normally give silent treatment tho. Like it’s not hard to just grow up and accept you didn’t have an easy life, a lot of us haven’t had the perfect start and have issues but we don’t use them as an excuse

This is a 50/50. sometimes trauma can cause you to get disorders or what not, especially if someome got straight out of it, they are gonna pick up traits and react the same way to "protect" themselves. Over time they learn and grow and turn into a good person and if they arent now and they are a bad person, then they need more help.
