I definitely agree with your point on Jeff basically using the show to address the audience criticisms the way he did. I think it goes back to what happened on 41 with the “come on in, guys” discussion. It’s not really an effective way to address these criticisms. If the show wants to change it, they can just change it. Why does there need to be a vote? You say this is the Open Era for a reason. If you want to take away Firemaking this season, then just do it. Jeff seems to have a really hard time taking criticism and uses the show to just talk back to the audience, at times, and it’s really annoying to me.

Actually that’s how voting works a lot of times. Real life juries, for example, a similar concept to what survivors jury is, must be unanimous in criminal cases.

I don’t disagree with your take on the Mr beast coin, but don’t you think in practice it will always be a volunteer that is expecting to go home that night in a last-ditched effort to save themselves? Which arguably adds excitement and uncertainty to that tribal (similar to how Devins saves himself and turns that tribal into chaos)

I think giving them a heads up about the coin flip ahead of time allows them to plan for it and strategize. I like that better than just suddenly dropping it on them
