i still love fujimoto and his work to death and ill always be a fan, but ever since the ending im really questioning what exactly goes through his head and how he perceives the world. that interview he gave talking about mongolian orphans living in poverty and going through trash and how he cant really say its a bad thing and wanted to portray it when denji and pochita were living came across as extremely tonedeaf and like he was philosophizing human suffering in a way that trivializes real suffering into something just thematic and removes it far from its reality. i understand where he’s coming from when he said it but the wording is just terrible and the added context makes the ending worse in my opinion after the whole speech from pochita saying denji was better off when he was living in poverty

i think he was always going to give an ending that left a sour taste in your mouth. not necessarily bad but unresolved because life is like that. i think people put too much emphasis on wanting every single plot point addressed

The animanga culture is extremely dogmatic to what a manga has to be, in a way that no other medium has to burden. Fujimoto has always written from a very emotional place first and foremost and that is okay. Csm was not the exception to his career formula, this is his creative process. I admire and relate to it quite a lot

as much as its unfortunate that fujimoto HAD to half ass the ending, i still really enjoyed it and i loved the art style, even if it was because of his stress. also i love how fujimoto still somehow ended up enjoying the chaos 😭 he always has such a interesting perspective which i love about him and his stories.

I would've loved a Chainsawman Trilogy and its still what I want, but I understand as an artist he was probably burnt out and I hope thay his next work is something he will enjoy from beginning to end at his own pace I don't even care how long it would take, so long as its 100% what he wants as an artist.
