It doesn't matter if you think it's ok to bring in an ice coffee. Enough people are saying it would cost you the job, so therefore, the best choice is to not bring in an ice coffee. Y'all gotta pick your battles, especially when getting a job means being able to continue to live and eat

I used to do recruitment and have no idea what the big deal is. You can bring a drink to the interview, what I pay attention is to your answers to the questions, your body language, your for with the current culture. O really don't understand why people are paying more attention to the drink

Get your iced coffee and put it in your own travel cup/mug. It keeps it cold and give a more professional appearance especially if your cup goes with your outfit.

as a millennial I was always told to refuse coffee and tea and accept water because that way if you had a little spill because you weren't nervous, it wouldn't show so badly. I am less concerned about people showing up with a drink and more concerned when people show up with their parents to engineering internship interviews - I get parents maybe providing ride but they shouldn't ask to be part of the interview

I was taught not to bring food or drink to an interview... it's an interview, not an outing with friends... Now if they offer me a drink while I am waiting I may accept, depending on the type of roll I am applying for and what the business is about.
