@noellesincerely: I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the difference between knowing your worth and actually having the courage to live like you know it. Because sometimes we say we want bigger opportunities, more responsibility, and a seat at the table, but when we’re challenged, overlooked, or told no, we let our pride convince us to walk away. And I’ve been there. I’ve let disappointment become a story about who I am instead of an opportunity to decide who I want to become. But the woman I’m becoming doesn’t need every situation to go her way to keep moving toward the life she wants. She can be disappointed and still be ambitious. She can respect someone else’s decision without letting it define her potential. She can advocate for herself without needing to prove her worth. Taking up space isn’t just about learning to use your voice. It’s about learning to trust it, even when the world doesn’t immediately agree with you. And maybe that’s the kind of leadership we need more of.
Love this. Brendan Burchard talks about listing your values out and posting them where you see them. Every decision is put against the post…does this align with my values. He then talks about the “battle board” over the “vision board” …the vision says who am I 5-10-15 years from now. The battle says “What will I do tomorrow, the next day, this week, this month to build the life I deserve. When life didn’t show up or was more difficult or informative than we expected, this approach can be a game changer.
