I Get chills when the Lincoln is mentioned. My late husband was working (Marine electrician) on that boat when we first met in 1997. I think it was recommissioned (might be the wrong terminology) in 1999-2000.

Not to be insensitive, but as a navy veteran, this happens EVERY deployment. I’m glad people are finally doing something, but this isn’t because people care about sailors. It’s become political and they’re trying to make MAGA look bad. What about the 12 suicides I had to live through during my time in? Look, I’m glad it’s a news story now. Let’s just hope real change comes from it. I fear yall will forget after November
