All the plants I had in terracotta managed to get a fungus growing on the outside of the plant no matter how long I left them to dry, what do I do?

I just received a gift from a friend with multiple species of plants, the vase it came in does not have a drain hole, do I keep checking when the soil is dry or should I separate the plants?

New plant mom here! I've been putting my plants in clear nursery pots inside of terracotta because I like to be able to see and monitor the roots. Should I be putting them straight in the pot instead?

If you have fungas gnats you’ve overwatered, if you didn’t overwater you used Miracle Grow 😂🤣

I have been educated!! Thank you! I was SOOOOO against terracotta because of the film on the outside but I do have harsh minerals in my sink water (and will be switching to filtered water) Maine I will swap my alocasias back!😅
