@averyapothecary: Years after I began making my herbal concoctions in my small apartment kitchen, I found out that my grandpa’s grandparents were herbal pharmacists in the 1800’s and they had a small practice where the community could come to find herbs and other naturopathic remedies. I didn’t know anything about herbalism before I happened across the plants in a small grocery store. And since then, I have not been able to step away. I hope to be one of the women who passes down the wisdom of the plants and continues to dance in harmony with the land. Herbalism is a such a special practice and should be woven into our daily lives. That is how our ancestors practices and I think it’d be wise to pull from their wisdom; especially in this day and age where everyone seems to be moving so fast.
