$20k monthly household income to $2.5million is a stretched for sure. I suppose there are many under such circumstances, thinking things will either stay stagnant or up only, nothing wrong to have a positive and optimistic mind, provided one has a buffer fund of at least 3-5 years. Based on your breakdown, these are typical middle income lifestyle trap. The next 3-5 years, we will see more of such scenarios.
