My kids are all adults. They said that our marriage “ruined” them because they couldn’t find anyone who was so good to them like my hubby and I are. One married and they are this way. The other long term relationship now with a sweet guy. Witnessing love between your parents encodes your whole heart and soul to accept nothing less.

My wife and I recently had our oldest son, now 30, say for the first time we were great parents. That they appreciated growing up with parents that taught them right. I felt like the richest man in the world!

I had to show my wife what love was supposed to look like because she was misled her whole life. 8 years together we’ve never cursed at each other, not once called each other a disrespectful word and it took time nut it worked. My parents were great role models in that sense

They are so watchful 🥹 it became so evident during a family/friends trip with another couple. My daughter was 9yrs old at the time. She pulled me aside and asked “why is he so mean to her? Papa doesn’t talk like that to you?”.
