I swear every single time I’ve had an issue with a client like this it’s been a small tattoo. It’s like you can guarantee they’re going to be difficult to work with if it’s a tiny tattoo. 😩

And this is exactly why artists like to do their designs in advance, with a deposit. 😆😆😆 ain’t no way a small fine line tattoo stencil should take 3 hours 😭

You gotta have a healthy balance of pickiness and like chill. You don’t want something you hate but also, if you think you could do it better go for it. Idk but my guy usually gives me some choices with little differences (which is great but I’m also bad at decisions so sometimes I panic and just pick one quick 🤣) love them all though so I guess I pick right

I had someone want to shorten a huge tattoo by a few centimeters. I literally think it was that they just wanted to change SOMETHING to feel in control. It literally made no difference.

I also had this happened to me. I had a couple who came in who looked like THAT and I drew for over 3 hours. Finally, I walked out front, she said she wanted something completely different for the 4th time, and I interrupted her and said "I have to go home and cook dinner. Thank you for wasting my time today" I really don't care if that's rude. She showed me 3 completely different designs. She couldn't formulate one solid idea. When I would sketch something out she would pick something else. Her boyfriend did the same. I have kids and a husband I don't have time to draw all day and not make a single dollar. 😭

I JUST got a new tattoo last week. I am very particular. HOWEVER, I was (and am) fully prepared and accepting that there is always the possibility that something isn’t perfect to the T. That’s not excusing the possibility of an artist completely botching something. That is me knowing that no tattoo will be pristine. In fact, there are small aspects to my other tattoo that aren’t perfect but make it mine.
