I love my city and that unit is beautiful, but 12k? They are out of their mind.. That’s a 4k unit at most. The current prices in SF are ridiculous.

I lived in the city in the middle 70s, I started out as a waitress on Lombard at the international House of pancake. Was able to quickly rent an apartment for a reasonable amount and lived on a waitress wage. No way could you do that today. My first apartment was on Gaugh a studio.

If you’re paying 12k a month in rent doesn’t it make more sense to just buy a house at that point?!? It’s going to get snapped up, but it’ll be occupied by 4-6 ppl. They’re splitting those rooms up to become a 4 bedroom. Might even section off part of the living room.
