Also, what part of Houston? I used to love Shipley's too but they seem very bland and dry the longer I've lived here. The mom and pop shops in S. Houston near Clear Lake to League City are amazing

This is what happens when Texas owned favorites sell out. It’s the same reason Whataburger has gone to 💩

I’m an apple fritter fan as well. There is hardly any apple in the fritter it is a cinnamon loaf with icing

OK, I want to add to this. I don’t have beef with Shipleys, but I will say they have this thing where you’re supposed to be able to order a fresh warm glazed all day now but sometimes when you go there, we don’t have that. Butwhy do you have a sign saying that you do then?

I love apple fritters but it seems to be an art to get them right. I’ve tossed many. I get them and they’re either burnt or mushy. It makes me cry.

Ever since they sold out, they have not been consistent. I know exactly what you're saying about the apple fritter, because I love their apple fritters, and about a week ago I got one, and there was no filling in the center. I was so upset. It was such a disappointment.
