Prices of goods like groceries are going up while also ignoring the amount being sold. Shrinkflation is ridiculous at this point. Let's stop pretending that the price of cereal, for example, hasn't really risen that much. Sure, it's still $4, but when you turn the box sideways it's half the width it used to be. I bought ice a couple of weeks ago and the price was about the same as it used to be, but the bags were about half the size and they literally labeled them "fun size". That's not fun, that's a bullshit tactic to trick people with pricing while having to buy twice as much to get what the amount they want. It's happening across the board and it actually means grocery prices are even worse than they already seem because we're buying less of the item for a similar or higher price.

My LL's raised my rent from $1250 to $1800. They wanted 2k but the other side of the duplex wouldn't rent for that much. I'm over a barrel bc I inherited my dad's cats, getting a new place with multiple cats...Yeah, it's really hard.

We’re helping pay for my son’s wedding in 4 weeks 🙄🙄😳😳 I told my eldest daughter tonight we aren’t doing Christmas. We’ll get together and eat but there will be no presents. We are tapped out. We haven’t struggled like this since our kids were little and we were a one income household. 😞😞😞
