@518.archive: The Stockade Walkabout returns Saturday, September 26, giving visitors a rare chance to step inside some of the private historic homes of Schenectady’s Stockade neighborhood. Now celebrating its 60th year, the tradition brings people through a neighborhood first settled in 1661 and later designated New York’s first historic district. This year’s Walkabout includes six private homes, historic churches, an archaeology dig, the Stockade Inn and more. And nearly five decades separate the 1979 Walkabout pictured here from the one happening this Saturday.
