Trazadone actually made my dog way more anxious. She would pace and walk and run around and never settled down, very paranoid and wouldn’t sleep. I got her on gabapentin and she was sleeping like a little baby and way more calm

Amy, if you feel it would be better for you, and better for him, you rehome him, because thats what's better for you both. youre allowed to do that.

people are judging but it's a lot. I got a dog from a less than ideal situation and at first it was pretty good but now his separation anxiety has overtaken everything. I'm hoping to find a way to manage it but it's suffocating at the moment.

I have a dog with anxiety with other dogs. Didn’t realize until I got another dog. So I have to rotate them in different rooms, walk them separately.. and give strict instructions when they are being watched by a dog sitter.. it’s not easy or ideal… but they are my family and I’ll never give up on them. I’d be devastated if someone gave up on me with all my anxiety.

He looks just like my mom’s old dog! His name was Ziggy and he also had crazy behavior issues. Farts and fart-like sounds would terrify him. He barked at everything and was so anxious. (He was a Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu mix)
