@dhein.pdx: Middle McCloud Falls is one of those places that makes Northern California feel completely different from the California most people picture. The McCloud River spreads across a wide wall of dark volcanic rock before dropping into a deep blue green pool below. Dense evergreens surround the river, while the exposed rock, clear water, and multiple streams pouring over the ledge give the entire area a rugged, almost untouched feel. It was easily one of the most impressive stops from my first trip through Northern California. #California #NorthernCalifornia #Waterfalls #Nature #Travel
