Take note at wear the oil comes up to in the middle on the gasket and not at the front. Clamp on the gasket changes. Can see it on the front coolant port too, will be why it leaked. Half way up the gasket near the bolt hole at the front, the clamp force changes, the white mark shows that

Silicone around the water ports on both sides of the gasket and china wall with silicone at front and rear and you’ll never have an issue
