آبَاؤُهُمْcan mean their fathers, immediate forefathers, or forefathers generally. It does not mean that all their ancestors from Ibrāhīm ﷺ were never warned. The Qur’an says: وَإِن مِّنْأُمّةٍ إِلّا خَلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ “Never was there a people without a warner having passed among them.” 35:24 Therefore, Ibrāhīm ﷺ was indeed a warner to them.
