This reminded me of an old man who came into tractor supply with feed and fencing questions. I answered his questions, he called me a “stupid little girl” and told me to go “put my skirt back on” and “find a kitchen” and demanded my manager, so I called him. He came out. Old man asked his questions again. My manager said “oh actually, I am not sure” walked him back to me and said “she is actually more qualified to answer that question than I am, that’s why I hired her” he then got big mad and told the both of us we’ll never get his business again and he was gunna go find an agway. There is one singular agway within 1 hour of my town, and they don’t sell fencing. That man came back the next day and made his wife speak with me 😅.

My gf owns her own rendering business ( she learnt from her dad as a kid and has been doing it almost 20 years ). The amount of times guys ring and ask to “ speak to the boss “. So she hands it to her husband who has zero clue about rendering and says he can help them with IT issues but they’ll need to speak to his wife if they need help with rendering 😂

I’m a paramedic and worked with another woman for years. So many people asked when the men were going to come to lift them up. Then my partner and I would lift them up. That shut them up pretty quick.

had a similar thing happen to me when i worked in tractor spare parts. my male co-worker took so long to serve people because he loved to chat. told oldmate he could wait for co-worker if he wanted to and server 4 others while he waited...

When I was a tech old dudes would ask if we had a "man pharmacist " to help them, it threw them when I said we didn't have a "man pharmacist " at all.

I had a similar conversation at work one day, the other manager was on shift and was a man but he stood there and went ‘she’s the manager, I don’t even know how to count change properly’ the guy left, he came back the following day, all he wanted to know was how much it was to see a Marvel movie, I worked at a cinema😂

This reminds me of the time a customer didn't like the answer he was getting from me when I worked customer service in a department store. He asked to speak to my manager "Where is HE?" (lots of emphasis on he). So I called my boss who was a woman. He still wasn't happy so asked for her boss, at this point I could have called one of about 6 people but I picked a woman on purpose. Then the store VP was a woman too. He kept getting more and more angry each time the next level up was another woman. Dude, it's a department store. At least 75% of the people there were women. He never did get what he wanted.

Reminds me of when I was assistant manager at a store and someone came in a demanded to see a man manager as he said MAN-ager. I said I can help him, he said no MAN-ager again. 😏 My boss was just coming out of the backroom with his boss who is also a woman. I said, here he is now, along with HIS boss. Do you want to speak to her?? He cleared his throat and said, nono, you will do. 😂

I used to work in my parents shop. Often people would want my Dad because "man better" so he'd listen to them then turn to me and say "can you do that?" turn back to them and say "that's not something I know how to do" 😂 he also named me supervisor so when people wanted to complain, it would have to be to me. The fact he was the owner was something he never mentioned 🤷😂

I had to kick out a group it boys at the fast food place I worked at coz they were harassing my staff, i told them 4-5 time that had to leave “you cannot treat my staff like this you need to get out”. the other manger who is a man came out and said “come one guys you gotta go” and they got up and left!!! I was a manager at the time too
