I did this when my kids were little. They were kicking a ball in my house. I told them to stop, well I was in kitchen, said ball made it to me, took a knife out of drawer and popped ball. My friend sitting at the kitchen bar was shocked and said “ I can’t believe you did that”! I told them to stop, they did not. It never happened again.

When you ask nicely 12-15 times, at a certain point you have to do something different. I remember begging my kids to hurry up so I wouldn’t be late to work. Every day I was late to work until I lost my job. The parent is a person too. Let’s not forget that.
