This is why I love God of War 5 and Ragnarök. They're significantly more honest about the myths and infinitely cooler anyways. Not to mention they treat Odin like the scumbag he is and give cool ideas for extended lore to my favorite Norse god (Mimir) like connections to Celtic mythology with the whole thing of being one of the Goodfellows and the idea he is Puck and an ex-member of Oberon's Inner Seelie Court.

The only rule Mjolnir had in Norse myth is that it was HEAVY AS FUCK, so you had to be really strong to carry it (I think, correct me if I'm wrong)

In Norse mythology Thor had to have strength enhancing gauntlets (with the belt he had possibly enhancing his strength as well) to lift Mjolnir although since Loki was the first he accused when the hammer was stolen that implies Loki is strong enough to lift the hammer on his own

Thor was so incredibly strong that once he started to lift Loki's son, Jörmungandr without realising it. Also he has a quaterstaff that he used as a weapon prior to Mjölnir's creation, and he has two goats that he eats and resurrects daily whenever he's out on a journey.
