One issue is most VC are not rational, they are not financial professionals. Another is that VC is considered a uniform industry, when it’s actually not: a 1B first round makes sense on AI frontier models or hardware, not on SaaS or marketplace. Time for managers to sit and act rationally rather than like sheeps on LSD.

The funny thing is we are doing great after grinding to build a product and customer base super small team raised under a million in Pre-Seed yet struggle to raise $2M at Seed. Adding 30 logos a month…there seems to be a disconnect in venture.

too much dilution tbh if the company is doing so well to raise that much that fast, then why raise? keep your equity and get debt, if your numbers are so good should be easier and you maintain control of the business
