“You Can’t Spell Hero Without Her” is my tribute to the women who have served and sacrificed in the United States military. I wrote this song after meeting a woman named Belle, a U.S. Army veteran who served as a Staff Sergeant and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Leader. Belle survived the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, and when we met at one of my shows, she asked me a simple question: why hadn’t I written a song about the women who serve our country? That conversation stayed with me. For years, so many of you have connected with my song “Mr Red White and Blue” and used it to honor our military members, veterans, soldiers, Marines, sailors, airmen, and the families who sacrifice alongside them. But our female veterans and active duty servicewomen deserve to hear their stories in country music too. That’s why I wrote “You Can’t Spell Hero Without Her.” This song is for every mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend, female veteran, and woman currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. It’s for the women who put on the uniform, left their families at home, deployed overseas, fought for our freedom, came home carrying scars we can see and scars we can’t, and never asked to be treated differently for doing it. I’m Coffey Anderson, a country music artist and the singer of “Mr Red White and Blue,” and honoring our military community has become one of the greatest privileges of my career. “You Can’t Spell Hero Without Her” is a patriotic country song dedicated specifically to the courage, service, sacrifice, and strength of America’s military women and women veterans. If there’s a female veteran, active duty servicewoman, military mom, military wife, military daughter, or woman in uniform in your life who deserves to be recognized, send her this song and remind her that her service matters. To every woman who has worn the uniform: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and everything you have given for our country. This song is for you. #CoffeyAnderson #YouCantSpellHeroWithoutHer #WomenVeterans #FemaleVeterans #WomenInTheMilitary #MilitaryWomen #WomenWhoServe #USMilitary #MilitaryTribute #Veterans #Veteran #SupportOurTroops #PatrioticMusic #Patriot - @the_coffeyanderson
