I always like to have a share number goal for myself and buy extra shares for trimming. Keel Infrastructure, my goal was 5000 shares, but I bought 6000. I’ll hold the 5000 long term but I’ll sell the extra 1000 for profits and put it somewhere else

Simply depends on a stock and your goals, would I be trimming meta no, but would i trim celcius yes

You got a point. Personally, I close my position on AMD with + 342% gains and I was okay with it. Bought google at discount with the same money. I can be wrong about that in the long run but I was already all in with semiconductor so I decided to close at least one position. I think trimming depends on your risk tolerance and your diversification.
