I feel like I’m that guy that would start with a 6 inch baseboard and end with a 2 inch baseboard. Trim is a art I don’t have.

These moldings are made of the softest wood and flexible to bend even on the vertical side, just press down and nail it.

Yeah but if you cut too much off the ends then they won't meet up with the next piece of baseboard on the corners

that's why you should use shoe moulding. in fact, that's the specific reason shoe moulding exists: so you don't waste time scribing and cutting.

How do u match up the corners and the mating ends if u shave off 1/2” off for it to be tight on bottom ??? Wouldn’t u have mismatch heights?? Or do you rip all the others to make the height difference???
