“I’m a law student” is exactly like saying I’m not a lawyer

This is very misleading, you’re using broad case laws and other federal law to define what they can do, State code typically are more restrictive and ontop of that department policy is even more restrictive, I think you should make that clear before generalizing what police powers are.

I think the point she is trying to make is different. If the police already had you on their radar for something else, committing a minor infraction can be used as a means to get you.

While these are true. This all boils down to just because you can, doesnt mean you should. If you arrest someone for speed, you better be booking them in for another charge because the judge when they get 72ed is gonna be pissed.

From what you study, why can't citizens make reasonable mistakes under the law?

Can you explain how all of these things are considered legal if they seem to be a work around to our rights under the Constitution?

you are a law student which means they are teaching you how they think you should interpret the law and not what is constitutional and right. no different than being in the medical field and being ruled by big pharma

Which is so insane. They have all the leeway to screw up and not have any repercussions, yet ordinary citizens have no recourse due to not knowing or understanding the law.

from what you said, it is what they can do to you if they claim they mistakenly thought you did not use your turn signal, right?

What your saying goes against the definition and understanding of local law but more importantly the constitution.. would love to see a video clarifying some of the obvious mistakes you just made.

Sometimes I wonder if they expose law students to these broad case overviews just tonsee if you will blindly tow the line like a good little citizen, then once they've established your moral compass goes along with the rehtoric they decide you're worthy of practicing law.

Only if the case is federal jurisdiction. Otherwise you left out all the state based counter precedents.
