@caleb.luketic: Airbnb saga update, and this one's good 😂 Quick recap: the host had outdoor cameras pointed into our windows that we couldn’t cover, then left us a bad review because I politely declined to haul her overflowing trash can, plus our three bags, 100+ yards down a hill at 10:45pm with the kids asleep. Somehow that turned into claims of damage and negligence, which is what started this saga in the first place. Small problem for her: I had receipts, including her own camera setup. Airbnb issued a partial refund, confirmed "necessary actions" were taken, and when I went to look up the listing, it was gone 🫡 Plus I had others check too, and her listing is gone. For context, Airbnb doesn’t allow cameras to monitor indoor spaces, so the rules were on my side the whole time. Same lesson applies in business: document everything, because the person with the paper trail wins the dispute. So which team are you, Hotel or Airbnb? @Vrbo hosts would NEVER. we tried Airbnb ONCE. it was HORRIBLE. we've have been using VRBO for over 10 years and have never had a less than stellar experience.

Eivor Cloudshade :

this is why I just hit up a hotel

Miranda M. McElroy :

Anymore updates?! I wander if their listing is back up

comingupcampos :

We have to stay at Airbnb sometimes because we have so many kids and it’s hard to find hotels that accommodate us, but I much prefer staying in a hotel

HollyW :

I pay someone to take the trash to curb & back, I don’t expect guests to do it.

My CLEARWATER Vacation :

Some hosts have no business being in the hospitality business. Come stay with us in Clearwater, where we take pride in making you feel welcome! 🌴☀️

hrvanna | twin mom :

Going to continue staying in AirBnbs cuz I prefer a house to a hotel and I’ve enjoyed so many over the years

Chris :

I never have the concept about people expecting me to clean their house is ridiculous after I stay there I can stay at a motel and they clean it

Hugh Jass :

I have no idea why people keep staying at airbnbs. They cost more than a hotel and hotels don't make me do work for them (while I pay for the privilege).

BrazenForger :

Adam :

just stop staying at air bnbs everyone it's so shitty for this country

Airbnb Lady Christina :

Is it really that hard to take the garbage out? Really? How much extra do you think it would cost a host to hire someone to come and get rid of your garbage? I'm sure it would be an additional $40-$50 in a cleaning fee or a service that does it. So you think hosts should raise the cleaning fees to cover that?
