GenX here…we were lighting bottle rockets and letting them go straight out our hands. When it was my friend Jeff’s turn, he lit the fuse, snapped off the stick, through the bottle rocket on the ground in the middle of us and just stared at everyone.

We used to play bloody knuckles, car surfing, bike jousting, firecracker tag, etc. Also, jumping off roofs into a pool?I jumped off a roof into a construction dumpster for $15. I learned how to tuck and roll and made a career of it... It was a short career. Now I can't hike in my 30's 🤷

I went to school with a dude who came back senior year with both of his legs broken. When asked what happened, he said he jumped off the roof to see what would happen. Another dude who very famously could not swim rose his bike off the pier at the local lake for his senior project because the project was about “extreme sports” and he wore the same shoes the entire rest of the year. I can still smell the lake-waterlogged trainers.
