@freedme6: Privacy is not secrecy, and discernment is not paranoia. You do not need to assume everybody is jealous or waiting for you to fail. But you do need to recognise that everybody does not have the capacity to hold your good news without filtering it through their own disappointment, fear, or comparison. Pay attention to what happens after you share. Do you feel supported and grounded? Or do you suddenly feel defensive, guilty, doubtful, or pressured to explain yourself? Some goals need roots before they need witnesses. Some relationships need stability before they need public opinions. Some blessings need stewardship before they need an announcement. You deserve to be celebrated. Just stop giving everyone front-row access to something they did not help you pray for, prepare for, or build.
