@matteorattivocalcoach: Partials follow a fairly simple mathematical rule: each one sits at a whole-number multiple of the fundamental's frequency. If the fundamental is at 200 Hz, the first overtone is at 400 Hz, then 600, 800, 1000, and so on. Now look at the spectrogram of the video I'm reacting to. Those extra sounds appear between the fundamental and the first overtone, where no harmonic can exist. What we do know is that they have exactly the same contour as the fundamental. Every bend, every fluctuation, identical. So if they have the same shape but can't be harmonics, what are they? The same sound, pitch-shifted and pasted on top of the fundamental.
