Small correction: the reports about images of Jesus and Mary inside the Kaaba refer to the pre-Islamic Kaaba. They were already there before the Prophet Muhammad conquered Mecca. They were not introduced by him, nor did the practice originate with him. What the later reports disagree about is what happened when the Kaaba was cleansed: some narrations say all images were removed, while others say the image of Jesus and Mary was temporarily spared. Those reports differ in wording and reliability. So the accurate point is this: Jesus and Mary were already represented in the Kaaba before Islam. The Prophet did not bring those images there. And whatever version one follows about what happened during the cleansing of the Kaaba, this was not something he established as an Islamic practice. Today there are no such images in the Kaaba. So presenting this as if Muhammad introduced or approved Christian imagery in the Kaaba is misleading
