im in my 40s and still distinctly remember when she talked about rationing toilet paper. it was a big "I'm poor, but actually I'm doing okay in the context of the world." odd detail I guess. but my middle school mind thought it was important. and 30 years later, when I need to use toilet paper and fart as needed, I genuinely think of her story. is that a crazy statement? maybe. but literally being able to fart and use an adequate amount of toilet paper was a problem for Anne. 75 stars

As a child I have to admit. I hated it. And that was because I was a child and didn’t understand it I was too young and was more concerned with cartoons. But what I don’t understand are the adults! Like this has to be a part of the literacy crisis. 😳
