I keep seeing posts about the damage there and only just realized that used to be Pea Island campground/resort. I spent so many weeks & weekends there growing up a long time ago. Loved it there!

Currently stuck on Ocracoke Island. Only way for us to get out is to take Swan Quarter ferry. We have to drive back around to Kill devils hill to drop off rented jeep then head back north to Delaware. We couldn’t get reservations for the ferry until Tuesday. They are now booked out to October 6. We are the open tomorrow and maybe someone cancels

We stay at Camp Hatteras several times a year, our favorite place and just left there 2 weeks ago. So devastating for them and everyone in that area. Hoping everyone gets home safely, just awful to see!
