Soft Glazed Twist Donuts Ingredients * 1 tsp yeast * 3 tbsp sugar * 175 ml milk (¾ cup) * 1 egg * 350 g flour (about 2¾ cups) * 1 tsp salt * 48 g softened butter (about 3½ tbsp) Glaze * 120 g powdered sugar (1 cup) * 2–3 tbsp milk * ½ tsp vanilla Instructions 1. Mix the milk, yeast, and sugar until combined. Add the egg and mix. Add the flour, salt, and softened butter, then mix. Coil fold the dough multiple times, cover, and let rise for 2 hours, or until doubled in size. 2. Place the dough onto your work surface and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope, fold it in half, then twist the two sides together to create a twisted donut shape. 3. Place each twist onto a square of parchment paper. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes. 4. Carefully place the donuts into the hot oil, gently remove the parchment paper, and fry until golden on both sides. 5.
