Jocelyn’s story moved me. Not because her journey has been easy—but because she refused to let the hardest chapter of her life become the final chapter of her story. Just over a year ago, Jocelyn was living out of her car. She was going from family member’s house to family member’s house just trying to find somewhere to sleep while continuing to show up for her children. She’s a mother of three. She recently got married. And through everything life put in front of her, she kept going. She refused to quit. There were plenty of reasons to feel defeated. Plenty of circumstances she could have pointed to and said, “This is why I can’t.” Instead, she kept asking, “What can I do next?” That’s what perseverance looks like. Change doesn’t happen overnight. But change DOES happen. Sometimes it happens one decision at a time. One sacrifice at a time. One dollar at a time. A few cents saved today might not feel like much—but keep stacking those cents. Keep stacking those decisions. Keep stacking those days. Eventually, you look back and realize you built something you once thought was impossible. Our circumstances may explain where we are, but they don’t have to determine where we stay. We have to participate in our own change. We have to keep moving when progress feels invisible. We have to believe that the small things we do consistently can eventually become something massive. And because of every single person who donated, bought a hat, participated in an auction, shared a post, or supported the Birthday Extravaganza in any way, we had the incredible opportunity to bless Jocelyn and her family with $3,000. That money came from all of us. You helped turn generosity into a moment this family will remember. Jocelyn, thank you for trusting us with your story. Thank you for reminding us what it looks like to keep going when quitting would have been easier. Keep pressing forward. Your current chapter is not your conclusion. Change doesn’t happen overnight—but change DOES happen. #RadicalMovement #NeverGiveUp #OneHeartbeatHelpingAnother
