#5 is how my Uncle was murdered in South Dallas in the 80s. He pulled up to a gas station & a frantic woman ran up to his car door asking for help. She said people were after her. He unlocked the door for her to get in & 2 other men jumped in with her. He was in town to help us move, but never showed up, which wasn't like him at all. He was a cowboy who worked for the railroads. My mom was reading the newspaper a few days later & saw a post about a John Doe found. His belt buckle was the family name. That's how my mom was able to identify him. 😭🙏🏾

Female retired cop here - also, go to your local police department if you’re moving into a new place and ask for previous calls for service at the address (mostly if it’s an apartment building). You’ll get every call received from there and if there were cops dispatched to there.

I experienced #2 with my former best friend. She called me asking me to come over and drink margaritas with her, I said I’d come over but didn’t feel like drinking. She BEGGED me. She said she had such a rough week and just wanted to let loose with her best friend. Her boyfriend was working late and his twin brother was staying at a friends, so we were totally safe. I reluctantly agreed, I mentioned that the drink tasted funny. I had barely ever had a drink at that point in my life, so I didn’t really know what certain alcohol tasted like, but I didn’t think it would be so bitter. She laughed at me and called me a lightweight. After that is only bits and pieces. Her boyfriend came home early and he wasn’t alone. He brought a guy we all knew in the neighborhood to be a creep. Next thing I know, her boyfriend’s twin also comes home unannounced. She and her boyfriend were not happy about the twin being there. My ex bff begged her boyfriend’s twin to let me and the guy her boyfriend brought use his room. He told her she was disgusting and went into his room. They put me on their bed where he molested me. I blamed myself for years because I didn’t know that had been the plan all along, I thought I had just been irresponsible in drinking. She and I were best friends since we were 5 years old. Be careful who you trust.

I was at Winco Folsom in 2019 leaving the store going to my car. A woman approached me and asked if I had any money I could give her. I said no sorry. She followed me as I started walking away, so I turned my cart around and went back into the store and waited. I saw her get in a van with a man shortly after. It was like chills went down my spine. I don’t have proof but til this day, my instincts tell me she was a predator.

Came out of a restaurant and a car with two men told me that I had two flat tires. They were a bit surprised that I wasn’t a young college student because I had textbooks in the backseat but my 10 year old daughter was with me. I turned down their offer to fix my car and said I would call aaa from inside. The manager went outside immediately and they peeled out of the parking lot. I told my daughter that if I EVER told her to run that she was to run- no questions no looking back. That my job was to cover her escape.

My aunt was murdered by her date after she invited him in for coffee after a movie. He was going through her jewelry and she caught him. He did it with metal barbels. Took her car and her jewelry. New rule: Do not allow a man into your home after 4 dates. Stand the test of time by going steady for months before inviting them in.

ex FBI agent said #1 keep your doors locked even when home as most crimes are crimes of opportunity! 😳 Also ladies when you put your car in park it automatically unlocks all doors so make sure when you park hit that lock button immediately because you don't want someone jumping in your car!!! STAY SAFE

Lock car doors as soon as you sit. This should be done before you turn your car on. If when you park, your car automatically unlocks, lock it again until you are ready to get out.

If you’re in your car and you think another car is following you, don’t take the risk of thinking you’re overthinking it, drive to the nearest Police Station. If they are still following while in route there and suddenly they drive away when you get there, then you were right to trust your gut. Worst case scenario is that you were wrong but your life is worth every second thought you may have and not worth risking.

Ladies I tell this to my sisters but I think y’all should be aware also. Please don’t go sit in ur car and be on ur phone in public places. Get in and leave seem like u have someone where to be and not confused or timid. Change up ur routine and GET OFF UR PHONE when approaching ur car, be aware of ur surroundings.

The last one! Some older man a few years ago at a McDonald’s parking lot told me to get out of my car and look because I had a flat tire. I almost did and got a sudden feeling to stay in my car (I had my daughter with) I said ohh thank you! Drove away and checked when I got blocks away my tire was fine!

BEWARE OF CAR WASHES! I was raised by my single mom in the ghetto so I have learned to always be aware of my surroundings and always keep my doors locked. When my daughter was a few months old I was pumping gas in the afternoon and decided to get my car washed there. I pulled into the wash and began organizing my diaper bag when I heard and felt someone trying to open my back door. I looked up and saw in my driver side mirror a man trying to repeatedly pry the door open. I started honking and drove off. I saw him walk back to the car parked behind me in the car wash lane. Thank you sweet Jesus for protecting us that day 🙏 💗

The flat tire thing happened to me. Three men in the car. I drove off into a busy gas station. No flat tire. Another tip: if a police officer knocks on your front door do not open it! Ask for his name then call 911 to cfm he is really a cop. They will not mind you did that: they have been to many rape/murder scenes so will love you checked first. Stay safe ladies and remember: women dont owe anything to a man - not a smile, not friendliness and not sweetness.Most predators are lookibg for someone easy to control. ❤️
