@c5news: A drug dealer attempted a quick getaway after police started sawing through his front door in Basildon. But Tyler Flynn didn’t even make it out of his back gate. Essex police, with support from armed officers from the Force Support Unit, raided a house that Flynn was at on 30 June. Detectives had been investigating a county line responsible for supplying heroin and cocaine in the Basildon area and identified the 20-year-old as a suspected line holder and linked him to an address. “While officers forced entry to the front of the address, Flynn attempted to escape through the rear. However, he ran directly into officers securing the property and was detained,” Essex Police said. Footage of the raid, which includes drone images, shows officers crouching behind the rear gate as Flynn tries to flee while carrying £1,400 and dozens of wraps of heroin. Searches of the property subsequently uncovered a knife, together with a machete, baseball bat and a mobile phone used to “operate the drug line”. Flynn later admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin, as well as possessing criminal property. He was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, suspended for two years, with unpaid work and rehabilitation activity requirements attached, at Basildon Crown Court on 18 September.
