@dramaandscandals: TIFU by telling my middle school pupils that their parents shouldn't forbid the se* talk because if they're here it means their parents had obviously f*cked @Let’s Talk! Our2Gens #reddit_tiktok #storytime #aita #redditstories #our2gens
With my family, we do levels about talking about the birds and the bees. When the girls get their periods, weexplain why we get them, and then, as they slowly get older, we start to reveal more things and then talk about the hellish part about having your seven days of hell a.k.a. year. Now my niece got hers A few years back and we told her the first level of it the second level of it is talking about how uncomfortable it makes us feel since me and my sister still get it and as she gets older, that’s been really will slowly start to explain everything she’s only 12 so we don’t want to traumatize her until she gets into sex Ed, which is something that happened store and I believe it’s the final year of junior high. I’m Canadian sublease a junior high in Canada but yeah I don’t know if anybody else does this?

my rule was if they're old enough to ask a question they're old enough to get the correct answer. I was always open about sex with my kids and about everything. I wanted my kids to know they could always come to me and I think a did a pretty good job raising my 3 kids 🥰

As long as it’s discussed in an age appropriate way it absolutely be discussed. It’s better for them to get accurate, appropriate information from the parents than incorrect information from their friends, the internet etc. I want my kid to feel safe to come to me no matter what’s happening to them/they need to know

If parents don’t give their kids the right answers about those kinds of questions it leaves room for someone else to give them them the wrong ones the more they know the safer they are

The way things are going right now, parents should talk to them when they start Elementary. I'm dead serious.Parent keeping it from the kids, only allows them to look for answers themselves.

My Mom I guess was too embarrassed to discuss. Somehow I just knew not to ask. My step mom was the one I could ask questions to. Her being a nurse helped.

I made sure my son knew all about his body as well as women's bodies. It was always age appropriate.

I remember when my girls were in sec ed at school they came home all proud but laughing at the same time, apparently the teacher was talking about condoms and the correct way to put them on and one of my girls says I can show you how my mum showed us on a cucumber 🙈🙈🙈😂😂

14-15 year olds should have reliable parents to answer their questions about sex. Otherwise they could make some big mistakes
