i love how ethereal this scene seemed due to the cinematography. the blurring on the edges shows up a lot in the final 6 episodes of this spectacular show.

Depends on how people viewing the death and honoring the deads. I agree with what Nate said about embracing the nature of death as it is (in fact my religious belief orders us to do a green funeral when we die). However I don't think "the embalming funeral business" is as cynical as he thinks (mind you at that point he was so over with the business due to his own personal fear). I think it's more about honoring the deads. the family certainly wants to make the deceased look best and pretty even when they die as the final look and goodbye. it helps their grief. Also not everyone is ready with the ugly nature of death. ❤️‍🩹
