@wellnessbykatienicole: If you’re 5’4 or shorter and trying to lose weight, you already know petite weight loss can feel like a completely different game. I’m 5’4 and lost 30 lbs, and these are some of the biggest weight loss habits and mindset shifts that helped me lose the weight and maintain my weight loss without feeling like I had to be on a super restrictive diet forever. One of the biggest things that helped me was WALKING. Walking for weight loss gave me an easy way to increase my daily movement and calorie burn without doing intense workouts every single day. I stopped thinking that exercise had to absolutely destroy me in order to “count” and started focusing more on getting consistent movement throughout my day. But some of the biggest changes honestly had nothing to do with exercise. I stopped needing every single meal to be the most delicious, exciting, 10/10 thing I had ever eaten. Obviously I still eat food I genuinely enjoy, but sometimes food can just be… food. It can nourish me, fill me up and help me reach my goals without needing a million extras added to it. I also stopped automatically using food as my reward. When I hit a weight loss goal or have something to celebrate, I’d rather reward myself with new walking shoes, workout clothes, a beauty product or something else I’ve been wanting. Losing weight as a short girl can feel frustrating when your calorie needs are lower, but learning how to create habits I could actually maintain made such a difference for me. These are just a few things that helped me personally lose 30 lbs at 5’4 and make weight loss feel sustainable instead of constantly starting over. #PetiteWeightLoss #WeightLossTips #WalkingForWeightLoss #CalorieDeficit #WeightLossJourney
