The manual is available to purchase at the ASC store, link in @American Cinematographer bio.
 The American Cinematographer Manual, eleventh edition, edited by M. David Mullen ASC and Rob Hummel. 

The ASC has published it since 1960 and calls it the Filmmaker's Bible. Chapters on evaluating digital cameras, measuring light, colour science, virtual production, anamorphic and large format, the ASC CDL and ACES. I cannot recommend it enough!
