@soipan_tuya: Held discussions with the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Kenya, H.E. Henk Jan Bakk, during his courtesy visit to Defence Headquarters. Our discussions focused on strengthening Kenya–Netherlands cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, including responsible AI applications in the military domain. We also reviewed our collaboration under the REAIM initiative and preparations for the REAIM 2027 Summit, which Kenya will co-host with the Netherlands. Kenya remains committed to translating responsible AI principles into practical outcomes through training, capacity-building, governance, research and innovation. We look forward to working closely with the Netherlands and other partners to deliver a successful Summit and deepen cooperation in AI and cybersecurity. Defence Principal Secretary Dr. Patrick Mariru, Netherlands Ministry of Defence CIO Mr. Jeroen van der Viugt, and senior officials from both countries attended the meeting. #soipan #defence
