@linaseditscc: I don’t even really know how to say all of this, but I think I need to take a step back for a while. I don’t know yet if I’m actually going to leave social media or just take a break, because honestly, I don’t even know what I want to do right now. Lately, I’ve just been feeling really tired of everything. I take things to heart way too easily, and sometimes the smallest thing can stay in my head for hours. I overthink everything, constantly question myself, and sometimes I even end up hating myself over things that shouldn’t even take up that much space in my mind. I can post an edit and feel proud of myself for a few minutes, then I start looking at what I made and telling myself that it’s bad, that I’m bad, that I should be doing better… even though deep down I know I’m just doing the best I can. I just feel like I need to get away from all of this for a little while, stop overthinking, stop comparing myself to others, and most importantly, stop putting so much pressure on myself. Social media has brought me so many beautiful things and so many people I care about so much, so it’s really not easy for me to think about leaving. But maybe I just need to find myself again before I can keep going. I don’t know if it’ll be a few days, a few weeks, or if I’ll eventually decide to leave, idk… I’d rather not promise anything for now. If I disappear for a while, just know that it’s not because of you and you didn’t do anything wrong. I just need to take care of myself and try to put my thoughts back in order. Thank you to everyone who has always watched my edits, liked what I make, commented, shared, or simply been there without even realizing it.
