If you’ve been raised a way and have always followed that way it can be extreme to drop something that you’ve always know and has been your way of living for decades. That’s how I view it. Especially people who don’t have vegan friends so every outting or family gathering the food isn’t plant based or vegan and it’s a hard adjustment to make in America for a lot of people.

i think its less about the value of certain animals and more about how vegans go about it. ive heard a lot of stories of vegans showing animal gore to children and those children just go on to have mental illness that can be stemmed back to the anxiety that was caused from being shown gore. ive seen vegans say that what's happening to animals is worse than what's happening in palestine, why would i want to associate myself with people who tokenize tragedies and dehumanizes an entire culture going through an active genocide? why would i want to associate myself with people who tokenize rape victims and view them as statistics instead of real people? you claim to have the moral highground but all i see vegans do is be abliest and racist. i dont want to be associated with a group that is so blatantly abliest and racist.
