@thedirtyraven: CORN ICEBOX CAKE 🌽🌽🌽 Did someone say Corn Icebox Cake with salted caramel corn flakes, sesame and a reaction that is making you read this two to three times just to make sure you haven’t completely lost it and are still indeed rooted in sanity? I mean who doesn’t love a set it and forget dessert? I think this thing is actually better with age to let everything really tie together and get those flavours flowing. Cover the top with charred corn to bring a hit of smoky flavour then right as you go to serve it, top it with caramel corn flakes topped with @windsorsalt Coarse Kosher Salt to bring that whole flavour to new heights. This recipe has been rattling in my brain for a few weeks now and when nature calls, you have to pick up the phone and answer - summer is saying “see you soon” and this recipe feels like a perfect wave goodbye RECIPE ***for the salted maple corn flake*** 3 cups of cereal 1 tablespoon of Windsor Coarse Kosher Salt 2 tablespoons of maple 1 tablespoon of sesame Combine all your ingredients and mix together. Pop into an oven at 350f for 20 minutes. set for ten minutes then you’ll have crispy crunchy sweet and salty flakes for all of life’s toughest battles. ***for the icebox cake*** 4 cobs of corn, shaved off the cob 2 cups of milk 1 tablespoon of maple 1 teaspoon of Windsor Coarse Kosher Salt 1 cob of corn charred then shaved off the cob 3 packs of instant pudding 1 pack of crackers/tea biscuits of fill your serving vessel Add your corn to a bowl. In a pot, bring your milk, salt and maple to a boil in medium heat. then immediately remove from stovetop. Pour it over your corn and cover to let it steam and steep. 2. Strain the corn, reserve the milk and blend on high. Add as much milk as needed to get a thick puree of corn cream. 3. In a mixing bowl add your instant pudding mix to the corn cream and whisk until full incorporated. Set aside until texture thickens. 4. Repeat layers of cookie and corn cream (throw some charred corn, cos live a little!) until you’ve gone to the top of your vessel. Let set for minimum 4 hours (overnight is nice - basically just long enough for the cookie to hydrate). 5. Top with charred corn and crunchy salted maple cereal flakes on top. Wave goodbye to summer! #creatorsearchinsights #corndessert #iceboxcake #caketok #itscorn🌽
