I once had a woman show up at a property I rented and tru to walk in! She said she saw photos online and wanted to "see if it was clean" before she rented it. Scary experience for me alone in a cabin. She had audacity to be annoyed I wouldn't give her a tour

Every time I book an Airbnb, I like to know where it’s at before I book so I usually just look at the little screenshot of the map that Airbnb provides and then I match it to Google Maps and that’s how I get the address for for booking

How I look at places before getting the location myself is looking in the general area. Getting a road and a round about number then using Google street view and comparing front of house images on air bnb site and Google street view

I had a similar situation as well, but I am a cleaner that cleans Airbnb’s and so I was cleaning this one Airbnb and the washer and dryer is like really small so I talked to My Boss and the owner. They said it was OK to take the sheets, the towels, everything that needed to be washed over to one of the other properties because they had a bigger washer and it would’ve took just two washers instead of five washes and so when I went to go drop the stuff back off, there was people there so I called My Boss and we did like a three-way call with the homeowner and no one was supposed to be there so we had to call the cops, but the thing is the door was locked. They used the keypad. It was quite literally a mess because they didn’t wanna leave and then they also re-destroyed the house so I had to re-clean that but all in the span of like 3 to 4 hours because I got to take a little break I didn’t have to drop the bedding and towels right back off because no one was supposed to check in so I stopped and got me food and like just kind of relaxed until I had to go back and put everything up but also we have like five of everything so everything got replaced like I just had to take the dirty stuff and washed the dirty stuff and then put the stuff back up, but it is wild. It could even possibly be just someone that you previously rented to or someone that you previously rented to gave the information to their friends/home boys

I have used airbnb for years now. And occasionally Zillow and other platforms. Airbnb specifically I’ve always been able to see the address before booking. Sometimes with Zillow or other apps I can’t but usually even with those I can still see the address before the reservation is confirmed. There’s been maybe one time that I’ve booked something on Airbnb and not been able to see the address until the booking was confirmed.

I mean, geolocating for one. You can look at the surroundings in a photo and google maps to figure it out. using the windows, any signage, terrain, etc.
