Why would you build a road on a beac, next to a beach, or close to the beach?.. Why oh why oh why? It's the most unreliable ground. Nature is unpredictable and ruthless

omg people. my family used to do fishing trips on Hatteras Island back in the seventies. the road was being washed out back then. as a child I was terrified.
